How the Patcher website uses account, order, support, and question data.

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Information used by the website

When configured, authentication is handled through Patcher’s Supabase project. The website uses the signed-in session to request only orders associated with that account. Ask Patcher receives the messages and optional images you submit and may receive a limited, user-safe shape of your order data when your question requires it.

How information is used

Information is used to provide account access, show orders, answer questions, protect the service from abuse, and understand basic website interactions. Images attached to Ask Patcher are sent with the current request for visual description and general guidance; they are not stored in the website’s Supabase database.

Service providers

The implementation is designed for Vercel hosting, Supabase authentication and order storage, and OpenAI’s Responses API for Ask Patcher. Their handling of data is governed by Patcher’s configured accounts and agreements.

Retention and choices

Signed-out chat is temporary in this implementation. Signed-in chat is not persisted unless Patcher later enables and documents that feature. Authentication cookies are used to maintain secure sessions.
